Is whitestorm's mate brindleface too because it said so on warriorcats?

This is a topic of some controversy. It was not specifically mentioned in the books that Whitestorm was Brindleface's mate, and the Erins have given us reason to doubt the accuracy of the family trees. (Jayfeather listed as Squirrelflight's son, etc.) although Whitestorm did come out of the nursery when Firepaw came to it, that doesn't necessarily mean that he was the father, but it does seem likely.
