No - after Windows 98 came Windows Me & Windows 2000 - then Windows 7.
Generally, windows 7 is more secure and runs more programmes

Microsoft claim that Windows Server 2003 delivers a better performance than Windows 2000, and is more user friendly. It provides a backup system for lost files.
Best way is to copy off the files you want, then format the drive and install WIndows 2000 from scratch. It always works far better that way than to try to do an Upgrade from one OS to another.
