Fair. Splits well, burns easily, not a lot of heat. But when I lived in Colorado, you had a choice of Aspen or Fir/ Spruce- and Aspen was the better of the two. Heat output is about 60% of white oak.

wood is good because not like metal or steel it can be regrown so it can be used again. Metals on the other hand have to be dug out of the ground and can run out. Wood can not (if we replant trees). So therefore wood is good to build things. who ever answered the top bit... you suck
