Use your common sense! A liquid flows, while the molecules move on-top of each other and keep sliding along until it fills the bottom of the container. But a solid does not flow and it does not fill the bottom of the container. It's molecules just stay in the same regular shape and hardly move at all. So what is it? Well, never! It's a liquid! By the way, you've spelt yoghurt wrong. Normal people spell it like Y-O-G-H-U-R-T but I suppose your American so that's OK, as long as you don't like the Miz! I just hate Wrestling and I hate the Miz. He has a stupid name, and he says Mon Ami (my friend in French) like Moan-Amy. And he thinks he's 'ahhhsum'. What on Earth is he thinking? Nobody likes him, even if they watch wrestling!
liquid - the particles are not fixed
it is a gas
That depends on the relative densities of the solid and the liquid. If the solid is denser than the liquid, the solid will sink. If the liquid is denser, the solid will float.
gas -> liquid = condensation liquid -> solid = solidification (freezing) solid -> gas = sublimation gas -> solid = deposition solid -> liquid = melting liquid -> solid = vaporization
To get a solid to a liquid you have to apply heat and melt it, and to get a liquid to a gas it has to evaporate. If you are talking about a solid going into a gas, then I don't know.
liquid to solid
Yogurt is a solid/liquid dispersion (gel).
Frozen yogurt is a semi liquid/semi solid that is yogurt
Technically, you should be able to, as peristalsis in the oesophagus does not depend on gravity, so you can swallow food upside down. However, I am not sure if yogurt counts as a liquid or a solid. Therefore, in conclusion, if it is a solid, then yes, but if it is a liquid, then probably not.
It's a semi-solid or solid. It does not follow the shape of the container it is in unless force is applied to it, scooping with spoon, pouring it (air pressure) etc.
everything that is not in a liquid form. yogurt would be a liquid food because you cannot hold it and it would still maintain form. An apple would be a solid food because it maintains a solid/ impenetrable shape. Apple sauce would NOT be a solid food.
Yogurt is made from milk.
Yogurt and ice cream is measured in liquid measurements and a "pound" is a solid measure. "Cups" is also a liquid measurement of volume so your question can not be answered since cups don't equal a pound of weight.
