If you are under 18 when convicted then it would 'go away' when you turn 18 - although some states hold that the conviction can be used for sentencing purposes. If you are over 18, and you did not get some form of special plea bargain (Probation), then it will not go away, even when you die of old age.
forever your record don't go away
I have had several tickets for using hadicapp placard. The third time, the placard was taken away. I have to appear in court. Is it a misdemeanor. Can I go to jail. This is my second offense. The first was petti theft. The case was dismissed.I need help. I am losing my mind.

The Prosecutor has up to three years to bring theft charges from the date of the last (alleged) theft. Source http://pelleylawgroup.com/practice-areas/property-crimes/washington-state-theft/

Yes you can go to jail for complicity to theft, it's a misdemeanor 1 and you can serve up to 180 days and three year probation and a huge fine. Unless you can prove otherwise that either he or she didn't know that the other person was going to steal. You will need a lawyer don't go in it with out one or the judge will hammer you, even if it's your first time. Oh yeah, and may be required to take a theft class as well.
Only if the state it is issued in has a statute of limitations on the crime itself.
Burglary is with force or weapon so yes this is a felony. Theft on the other hand in California has been lowered to a misdemeanor. Usually what you have been charged with will go to the next less severe charge on a plea. If you go to trail and loose then you will be charged with offense charged or higher.
A misdemeanor offense - if you received it after you became an adult (over 18)- will always appear on your record. Criminal offenses do not expire or "go away."
For life. They don't go away over time.
It can be expunged, but getting it expunged doesn't make it go away - it just limits who can see it.
misdemeanors don't really carry any weight anyway, and if anyone does a record search most likely won't come up,your criminal record is just that it doesn't go away it's your personal record that records everything you've ever done
