It's usually hard to tell until they are older but here are a few clues that might help:
males usually have longer front claws which are longer than the back claws.
females (and males!) have a hole on their tail, the closer the hole is to the body, the more likely that it is a female.
that's all I really know.
how do i tell if my my turtle is a girl or a boy?...
The opening in the tail and it's proximity to the body. Closer to the body, the turtle's a girl, further out a boy.
a boy (male) turtle has a longer tail than a girl (female)
The boy has a light shell and the girl has a dark shell
well a boy turtle has a small tail and girls have kind of a long tail
this is the real answerthe boy turtle has a long tail and long nails, the girl turtle has a short tail and short nails (I Have Four Painted Turles)
a gall or a lass
Yes. A boy turtle and a girl turtle have different types of shells
long tail...boy...short tail...girl
if their shell is smooth on the bottom they are a girl, but if it concaves in then it's a boy
if it has a black back its a girl, its it has a orangy brown back it's a boy.
I have a turtle named Tuck and I can't find out if it's a girl or boy?
