yep,bought it last week.
ivory or any kind of bar soap.
It depends..... And btw *By The Way* wittle is the wrong spelling it is spelled *whittle* with an H in it..... It takes a while to whittle wood... but if your starting out... It's best to whittle with a big clump of wax or a unused bar of soap..... maybe half a bar..... but you need to learn it first so start out with wax/bar of soap. and chose what you want to whittle and get someone to teach you.... and whittle it.... but I find whittling fun! i made a goldfish a very detailed goldfish very realistic yesterday! it was made of soap.... soap if more fun to carve/whittle I find but..... in my opinion it is fun but you must have patients. Thanks for that question!
It's probably nothing, the bar most likely just got moved around and jostled until it cracked a little. It should still be perfectly fine. If you are worried, just throw it out, though.
The bar (or rail) in a dance studio is used as a tool to assist in stretching and in the teaching of position and movement in ballet. A link is provided below to a simple picure of the bar used in a typical studio. Certainly the picture is posed, but the viewer can get a feel for the bar and how it may be used. More searching on Photobucket or YouTube will doubtless yield still pictures or video clips of the use of the bar.

they will not eat soap, and im not kidding catfish love it
Proctor and Gamble have stopped making this bar and have replaced it's scent with Linen Fresh. I have been trying to find old stock around to purchase, but have been unsuccessful.
all soaps are alkaline, use a detergent. you didn't say what it was for, but for handwashing Dove and Zest brands of bar "soap" are good detergents in bar form. There are many others. Ivory brand is a soap, not a detergent, but it is advertised for purity so it should have negligible unreacted lye; but its still slightly alkaline.
Best if you don't. May dry up just use dial antibacterial soap comes in a bottle and its blue
Yes, the bar is still being made. However, in Ohio, where I live, it is very difficult to find. I have had some luck ordering products made by Zest online at drugstore.com They seem to have a large variety of Zest products available for purchse.
Some good brands of bar soap are the following: Dove, Old Spice, Aveeno, Oil of Olay, Irish Spring, Dial, Ivory, Lever 2000, Zest, Caress and as well as the brand known as Tone.
you cannot, throw that batch out!

Soap shaped as bar
- Liquid soap (a soap prepared with potassium hydroxide) cannot be turned in solid soap. It is prepared especially to be liquid.- Melted soap (prepared with sodium hydroxide) can be solidified after adding a small quantity of sodium chloride and by cooling to room temperature.
Is Vel soap still made? NO Is it for sale? There was some on eBay a while ago, not sure if there is any now. SAD DAY!
