Zinc is unreactive to cold water, but will react with steam to give zinc oxide and hydrogen.
metals which dont react with water or acid are called unreactive metals
Gold is an ideal metal in jewelry because it is highly unreactive which means it doesn't react with anything unless under certain conditions. Because it is unreactive, it does not react with things like water. When certain metals are mixed with water, they rust. Since gold is unreactive it will not rust or tarnish which makes it an ideal metal for jewelry
Neon is not even a metal! It is a noble gas, so relatively unreactive. Copper is a moderatly unreactive metal, more reactive metals include pottassium, sodium, zinc & iron.
Zinc isn't permeable to water.
Nothing , Gold is unreactive towards water and most of the acids.
Zinc (Zn metal) is not soluble in water.
Zinc nitrate dissolved in water.
It produces zinc hydroxide and hydrogen.
zinc is more dense than water
zinc + nitric acid --> zinc nitrate + water and hydrogen I think...
Zinc sulfide is not soluble in water. Because of the strong attraction between the zinc and sulfur ions, water cannot easily pull the ions apart. Thus, this compound does not dissolve in water.
if you put to much of anything in water it could pollute it let alone zinc, and the reason why zinc does is because it can turn it into hard water which is basically water gone to waste
