Is ISM Dhanbad comparable to IIT?

ISM Dhanbad is one of the best Institute in India. ISM Dhanbad is the only institute conidered at par with IITs & IIMs in India. ISM Dhanbad is the best Earth Science (petroleum, Mining & Geology) institute in Asia & 3rd best in World. Not many people know about it; ISM Dhanbad rejected the IIT offer in 2000-2001 the only institute to do this. This shows ISM Dhanbad doesn't need any IIT tag. What is the specifications of ism band?

The ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) band refers to a group of radio frequencies designated for industrial, scientific, and medical purposes. It typically operates in the frequency range of 902-928 MHz, 2.4-2.4835 GHz, and 5.725-5.850 GHz, and is used for unlicensed communication devices like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cordless phones. These frequencies are globally recognized as license-free, allowing for widespread use of wireless communication technologies.

Why are DECT 6.0 better than ISM phones?

DECT 6.0 is based completely on the European DECT standard over air protocol, within this standard the operating frequency of the equipment is specified to operate in North America within the 1910 - 1920Mhz frequency range. This frequency band is only available to other to other DECT and DECT like devices (PWT) that are specifically designed to co-exist with one another. The problem with phones operating in a ISM bands is that they don't only operate with other "phones" in the that same frequency range, they have to co-exist with many other device (WLAN, Baby Monitors, Walkie Talki's, Microwave ovens, etc) that operate in the same frequency band. While almost all ISM band phones are capable of some type of frequency or carrier hopping technique, the are more susceptible to interference due to the large number of devices relegated to this band, and not all devices in this band are the least bit concerned with interference that they might cause to a wireless phone. Another benefit that should exist for DECT, but is probably optional for implementation is General Acces Protocol (GAP) which allows for handset from any vendor to be associated to another vendors base, so adding a handset to a system does not require that you purchase from the same vendor. Additionally DECT provides the ability to increase your range by adding bases to your system, and supports active call handovers between bases assuming that part of their range overlaps. So covering much larger areas than a standard ISM band phone is possible. Now this is not to say that and ISM phone vendor can't do the same thing, but adherence to DECT 6.0 just means that you don't just have to hope that your vendor thought ever scenario through in their own implementation

How did the ISM radio band encourage expanded use of wireless devices?

The ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) radio band, which is unlicensed, allows devices to operate without the need for specific licenses, making it more accessible for manufacturers and innovators. This openness spurred the development of a variety of wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. As a result, the ISM band facilitated the widespread adoption of wireless devices in everyday applications, from consumer electronics to industrial systems, fostering a more connected world. Its availability led to increased experimentation and creativity in wireless communication, driving technological advancements.
