Boo Radley. He silently places it on Scout, because of the coolness, while she and Jem were watching the fire. Scout and Jem were so indulged by the fire consuming the town that neither noticed when the blanket was wrapped around them.
Boo Radley shows kindness by leaving small gifts for the Finch children in a tree knot hole, saving Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell's attack by intervening and killing Ewell, and by caring for Jem when he is injured. Despite his reclusive nature, Boo demonstrates acts of bravery and compassion towards the Finch family.

She was calm at the beginning. However when Mr. Avery was stuck on the second floor of Miss Maudie's house while rescuing her furniture, she was afraid and "..buried [her] head under Jem's arm and didn't look again…" This shows that Scout does not care that much about the house. However, when she thought Mr. Avery was in danger, she got scared.
