Ive heard that the Nintendo Dsi doesn't have the Gameboy advance game slot is this true?

That is correct. Nintendo removed the Gameboy Advance cartridge slot on the Nintendo DSi which means that you cannot play GBA games on the unit.

Pokemon LIGHT Platinum? I've never heard of it and I think you mean Pokemon Platinum. But with any game, simply put it in the system and turn it on. With a Nintendo DS Lite, the DS games go at the top with the picture facing the back, and Gameboy games go at the bottom with the picture facing the back, too. But the DSi and DSi XL don't have the part to put in Gameboy games.

Best buy doesnt normally carry alot of DS games. if they did have it in stock, it would only be there for about a week. your best bet would be to go to walmart or kmart.
