Pride and Prejudice, Austen's most famous work, has been filmed or otherwise performed more than any other.
Becoming Jane is a 2007 British historical biographical film directed by Julian Jarrold. It depicts the early life of English author Jane Austen and her perpetual love and regret with Thomas Langlois Lefroy.
There are undoubtedly more Jane Austen movies to come. So far there have been more than I can count easily, and people will continue to produce their own versions, with their own visions of how to interpret the novels.
Not based on any book, but aspects of it are taken from Pride and Prejudice Actually, the film is based on the book of the same name by Helen Fielding, which does contain echoes of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, for example the fact that the hero has the surname Darcy.
