Sears
No. Several companies made guns for Sears under the JC Higgins name. They still exist but no longer make guns with the JC Higgins name.
JC Higgins never made guns. All of Sears (JCH) guns were made by established gun makers but used the name JC Higgins to sell the guns and rifles through Sears stores. Even the BB guns were made by Daisy air gun and Crosman air gun. They put the name JC Higgins on the guns when they were shipped to Sears.
JC Higgins never made guns of rifles. Sears contracted several gun manufactures to make guns and rifles for them using the J C Higgins brand name. This is the same for Wards and Western auto. All of them stopped selling guns around 1988 due to social pressure.
All of Sears JC Higgins rifles and guns were made by various manufactures using the Higgins brand name.
JC Higgins is a SEARS brand name. JC Higgins rifles and guns were actually made by brand name arms company that just used the JC Higgins name when they made guns and rifles for Sears. Western Auto used the Revelation name in the same way.
All of Sears JC Higgins rifles and guns were made by various manufactures using the Higgins brand name.
Two of them were Ted Williams and JC Higgins.
Sears no longer sells JC Higgins. But you can still find used ones at gunshows or on the net. All of the JC Higgins guns were made by other gun makers but used the "Brand name" JC Higgind for Sears. Even the JC Higgins air guns (BB Guns) were all made by Daisy or Crosman air gun company. The same went for Wards.
Npe- and they never did. JC Higgins was a brand used by Sears for guns mde by companies such as Winchester, Marlin, Savage, High Standard, etc. The guns were marked with the JC Higgins brand instead of the maker's brand. Sears changed the JC Higgins brand to Ted Williams, and in the 1980s, stopped selling firearms.
I belive that Remington made alot of the jc Higgins guns, but I would have to see it to be sure
