my 99 Cherokee has a header leak. i know that's a problem but im wondering if that's causing the sputtering. it will sputter on a good acceleration and after transmission kickdown. no backfireing, no hesitation. i replaced the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and it didnt change the symptoms.
if anyone can help it would be apreciated!
Coolant leak.
Leak detection pump.
Perhaps you have a leak in your transmission. Check the transmission fluid while the car is running. DO NOT check any other fluids while the engine is running.
It might be an exhaust leak
probably a fuel leak somewhere .
The obvious answer would be that there would be a leak somewhere...
Yes.
Because the leak is high up in the tank.
possible faulty leak detection pump
YesYes
Think you mean power steering. Leak will usually be in a hose, coupling or pump. Replace the item that is leaking.
If your 1998 Jeep Cherokee is leaking coolant, it might be a seal but it is more likely that it is a hose. This might also be a radiator leak, a loose hose clamp, or the freeze plugs in the radiator.
