John mayer is in which band?

He's a solo artist, but set up a band in 2005 or so called the John Mayer Trio, and released won album. They were nominated for a good few Grammys and performed at the show, but I think they only won one. They play special shows time to time like in New York in 2008 and New Years 2010.
