The Queen Victoria "Jubilee Head" was not used on British Coins until 1887, the year of her Golden Jubilee.
The 1885 coin has what is referred to as the "Young Head". The "Jubilee Head" obverse cannot exist on an 1885 coin because it had not yet been designed by William Wyon (WW).
The 1885 Sovereigns were minted at a number of different Mints including London, Melbourne and Sydney. Coins minted at any three of these Mints will have the "Shield" reverse or the newer "St. George and the dragon" reverse. Look for a very small mintmark "M" or "S" below the Shield, below Victoria's neck, or below the horse. London minted coins will either have no mintmark or a two digit die number below the "Shield".
It appears that your coin may be a counterfeit. Many Sovereigns have been counterfeited, some very skillfully, most not.

Mintage of general circulation SL dollars (liberty holding a flag)ended in 1873. However, Trade Dollars (liberty holding an olive branch)were minted up until 1883 and then a few were apparently minted (off the record) in 1884 & 1885. I think the last auction price for an 1885 was over a million dollars. If you have a Seated Liberty dollar dated 1885 it is most likely a reproduction and not worth much more then its silver content. It is possible you have an 1885 SL Half Dollar and depending on condition they will usually bring at least a couple hundred dollars
