1398 AD. Actually Kabir Sahib was not born but He appeared on a lotus flower in a pond named "Lehar Tara" in Kaashi (Varanasi, India).Likewise when He died in 1518, His body was not found, only flowers were found which the disciples of Kabir Sahib (Hindus and Muslims) divided amongst themselves. The Hindus cremated them and The Muslims buried them. Kabir Sahib was much more than just a poet. He gave the knowledge about the four vedas and the Bhagavad Gita and other Hindu scriptures through his speech called "Kabir Vani or Bani". The main compilations are the Kabir Sagar and Kabir Bijak. More on the grandeur of Kabir Sahib can be found on the following link http://www.kabirsahib.jagatgururampalji.org
Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the final and perpetual guru of the Sikhs. It contains the teachings of Sikh Gurus as well as the teachings of Saints and Devotees (Bhagats) from medieval period.Bhagat Kabir Ji's teachings are also part of Guru Granth Sahib.Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not seen as a combination of teachings of Sikh Gurus and Saints but Guru Granth Sahib Ji is a Guru in its own respect and hold its own authority. Therefore, to think that there are some specific teachings that's are followed by Sikhs and others are left outside is not the case. Whatever Guru Granth Sahib Ji teaches irrespective of which Guru or Saints said it, is seen as the teaching of Guru Granth Sahib itself. Thank You.
