Labor time for a water pump replacement on a 95 Cadillac deville?
I just replaced my water pump on my 95 DeVille. I decided to have a dealer do the job. They charged me 2.5 hours of labor.
replacing the water pump on the deville is no easy task if you can avoid doing it yourself take that option it is an aluminum block that the water pump is bolted to when you take the housing and screws off its a pain to get them back go to a trusted pro labor is around 350 but water pump is enexpensive
Same exact thing happened to my '96 cadillac deville just last week. The belt actually shredded. I took it in to Firestone and they fixed it parts/labor for $60

On a 4.6L the thermostate is in the housing which is near the water pump drivebelts "on the coolant crossover housing". If this is not clean I recommend you buy the Haynes for your DeVille. See page 3-4, illustration 3.14.
