Same place you check the oil level.
Look at the engine on your lawn mower. If the engine has an oil filler tube or a "hole" with a cap on it where oil is added to the engine, it is a 4-cycle (4-stroke) engine. If there is no oil filler tube or place to add oil to the engine, then it is a 2-cycle (2-stroke) engine and the oil has to be added to the fuel.
Simply remove the dipstick or screw on oil filler cover and tip the mower on its side and dump it into a suitable container.
No for your lawn mower you will just need regular lawn mower oil.
I have to assume this is a 4 stroke and the oil filler cap is on. That being the case, I believe the output end crank shaft seal needs replacing.
where do you put the oil at for a john deere 317 riding lawn mower and what brand of oil
What type of oil does a craftsman riding mower take
Most new mowers have a cut off switch inside the oil filler tube that shuts it off when the oil gets to low.Seeing it is a new mower the oil will burn a little causing the shut off to activate, put some more oil in it and it should be ok.
I use two stroke oil
No, its need fuel
4 cycle mower.... gas is separate from oil!
If its a push lawn mower. It has no oil release. The mower burns the oil. All you do is replace the oil when it gets low.
10w30 oil is what is recommended
