If we evaluate the nutrition facts of chicken, we come to know that it provides approximately 150-160 calories/100gms. Chicken meat is preferred because it is low in fat and carbohydrates and contains a moderate quantity of protein. Chicken meat contains all major sub categories of vitamin B including B3 and B12.Chicken is a form of protein. The amount of protein depends on the size of the piece of chicken. There is also some fat in chicken but it is naturally a lean type of meat.
The actual meat has almost not fat, it is nearly pure muscle. It is the skin covering the meat that contains the fat.

lean chicken, turkey, or fish (eg. salmon)
No. It has some fat, sodium and cholesterol, but no carbs.
The lean chicken won't, but chicken that is deep fried and has a coating that contains a high amount of fat could make you gain weight. It's always the coating over the chicken, not the meat itself, that attributes to weight gain. For example in KFC, the coating of flour and other ingredients they use which is then deep-fried in fats and oils, is what makes chicken more fatty, thus making you gain weight.
