I don't know about the 5mg dose of lexapro with 50 of tramadol, but I take 30mg lexapro and was given a prescription for 50-100mg of tramadol every 6 hours prn for acute tooth pain. My pharmacist adamantly refused to fill it due to severe risk of seizures; he said lexapro and tramadol were contraindicated. Hope this helps someone.
I'm glad your phamacist refused to fill your rx. Mine did nothing, and I was completely unaware, evidently my doctor was as well, and I had to learn the hard way. Thank God I didnt have a seizure or anything major, but I would also take 50-100 mg for back pain, and you want to talk about a sleepless night. In and out of conciousness, sweats, and very vivid dreams when I would eventually fall asleep.
