Spacecraft have been linking up in space since the 1960s. An American and a Soviet spacecraft linked up in 1975 for the first time.
Up until the end of the Vietnam War; Sailors manned ships; Airmen manned aircraft; Men manned tanks; and Men filled the ranks of infantry regiments.
space ships and satellites
normally they are unmanned but sometimes they do have people sent up
The manned space program is just what it says. It's a program to send humans into space. Unmanned vehicles have the advantage in that they don't have to return to earth. That means they can go further and stay in space indefinitely. Manned missions however, need to return its cargo back to earth. Manned missions have the advantage in that if something goes wrong, they can usually fix it in space. If something breaks on an unmanned mission, they simply send up another spacecraft. Manned missions also have the added advantage in that people can observe things in space, while unmanned missions simply obey commands from their earth based masters.

A manned American Apollo spacecraft and the manned Soviet Soyuz spacecraft for the Soyuz 19 mission, docks in orbit, marking the first such link up between spacecraft from the 2 nations.
When spacecraft link up while orbiting in space it is called "docking." This involves two spacecraft joining together to form a larger integrated system. This process is often used for crew transfers, cargo delivery, or to build larger structures in space.
The spikes or poles that held up the awning over the Colosseum were ships' masts. The canvas awning was a super large ship's sail and the entire operation was manned by sailors from the Roman navy.
Up until about 1975, it would have been Russia. Since then it is the U.S.A. This is based on "known" flights.
That totally depends on the weight of the rocket, but most manned rockets take about 8 1/2 minutes to reach orbit.
This question was posted on April 6, 2011. Here it is October of 2012, and I'm still waiting for the so-called "following" list of multiple choices to appear. If this keeps up, the near future of manned space exploration will be here before I can start selecting the right answer from it.
yes theres aliens everywhere in space they fly space ships and suck people up to their brain wash them and then let go without knowing anything has happened....
