Two factors of climate influence in the Prairie Region are natural and human.
NATURAL ECOSYSTEM: an ecosystem made naturally & occurred naturally with no influence by man ( ex. forest, backyard) MAN-MADE ECOSYSTEM: an ecosystem with the influence of man, this is usually controlled ( ex. fishpond, zoo)
The factors that generally cause mass extinction are changes in the natural ecosystem of the species. This may make it difficult for the species to reproduce and to stay alive.
Since a pond is a natural ecosystem, it has all the biotic and abiotic components in it and these components are interlinked with eachother for ensuring the survival of the organisms there, hence its a self sustaining unit. Where as, an aquarium is an artifitial ecosystem, it is made by man. So, if any fish or other organisms present in the aquarium die, its dead body will not be acted upon by decomposers cause of its absence. Also there is no sunlight and other abiotic factors, so the survival of the organisms in the aquarium is to be relied upon man who has to ensure the maintenance of the aquarium , so the aquarium is not a self-sustaining unit.
it is the two main functions of the lion and they are their natural habitat and the food they eat.
Fire is an Abiotic factor. The definition of Abiotic factors are the nonliving part of the ecosystem. I am pretty positive that fire is nonliving.
In a grassland the abiotic components are the non living parts of the ecosystem that are depended on by the living organisms. There are four major abiotic parts; soil, climate, natural disturbances and topography.

We don't spend a lot of time in natural ecosystems because where ever we are, chances are the biotic and abiotic factors has been changed. They change becuase humans changed it. When humans change the ecosystem it is no longer a natural ecosystem. We use natural ecosystems and turn it into thing's like golf courses, housing area's etc. So basically we are in non natural ecosystems most of the time. But the only time we do use (or are in) a natural ecosystem in when we are in/by a forest, pond (that was naturally made) etc. Hope that helped :)
Many abiotic components are common in both natural and mad made ecosystems. These include such things as weather, temperature, and humidity. These components can be manipulated in man made ecosystems but are still important factors.
Biotic components are the living things that shape an ecosystem. Organisms consume living food and then animals consume the organisms.
=lower availability of water and the consequent importance of water as a limiting factor characterize a terrestrial ecosystem.==lower availability of water and the consequent importance of water as a limiting factor characterize a terrestrial ecosystem.=

they are all natural resources.... :)
In a balanced ecosystem, the biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) parts are in equilibrium. Nutrients cycle efficiently, and the flow of energy and nutrients to the rest of the ecosystem is not interrupted by a community of organisms or natural phenomena.
Abiotic, i.e. non living factors........... natural disasters, volcanoes etc Biotic, i.e. living factors............... other animals, humans etc Climatic, i.e. weather factors............... different sun intensities, rainfall etc Edaphic, i.e. soil factors ................. different pH and mineral content determine what plants and animals live there
it is because it causes animals to eat plants and we lose plants
