Since a pond is a natural ecosystem, it has all the biotic and abiotic components in it and these components are interlinked with eachother for ensuring the survival of the organisms there, hence its a self sustaining unit. Where as, an aquarium is an artifitial ecosystem, it is made by man. So, if any fish or other organisms present in the aquarium die, its dead body will not be acted upon by decomposers cause of its absence. Also there is no sunlight and other abiotic factors, so the survival of the organisms in the aquarium is to be relied upon man who has to ensure the maintenance of the aquarium , so the aquarium is not a self-sustaining unit.
The smallest unit of matter is an atom, which is made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons and neutrons are made up of quarks, while electrons are thought to be fundamental particles.
I think... the simplest unit of life is a cell while the smallest is an atom.
The cell is the smallest structural unit of living organisms.

Pond pumps must have an outddoor electrical outlet unless the unit is solar powered. To ensure its safe use, make sure the unit has a Ground Default Interrupter.
Liters would be easiest to use.
The most reasonable unit to measure a fish pond would be square meters or square feet. This unit of measurement provides an accurate representation of the area of the pond, which is important for managing stocking densities and planning fish production.
