lost your ability to hear sounds
Sensory impairments refer to difficulties in processing sensory information, such as sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. The four main types of sensory impairments are visual impairment, hearing impairment, tactile impairment (problems with touch), and olfactory impairment (loss of sense of smell).
Traditionally, bloodhounds, but good sniffer dogs of many different breeds are used, beagles are a popular choice. I remember reading of a German shepherd who was the best sniffer dog in the US. All dogs have a an extaordinary sense of smell - about 500 times as sensitive as humans. That German shepherd was something of a freak, and was about 1000 times more sensitive. He was fed a special diet and housed in purified air.

The principal sense organs in mammals include the eyes (sight), ears (hearing and balance), nose (smell), tongue (taste), and skin (touch). The eyes enable vision by detecting light, while the ears facilitate hearing and help maintain balance. The nose is responsible for olfaction, allowing the detection of scents, and the tongue detects different taste modalities. The skin contains receptors for touch, temperature, and pain, providing essential sensory feedback about the environment.
The senses of smell and taste are closely interrelated, and one definitely does affect the other to some extent.Although they are extremely closely related you will not loose your sense of taste if you lose your sense of smell it will just be extremely mild. You dont reallz lose your sense of taste physiologically instead psychologically you would find food less tast, not because your sense of taste is affected but because 80% of what we consider to be tasty food comes from how they smell.(1) On April 29, 2008 at 3:07 am User:Patty_Robb[0] said:I have lost my sense of smell since about ten years ago. It has gotten progressively worse. At first I would have phantom smells or if someone suggested a smell I would smell it for hours. I now do not even have a memory of smells and have lost my sense of taste as well.
list the way that hearing loss is classified

There are many more than five senses. Some estimates put the number as high as 21, but it is generally agreed that five is the minimum. The basic five senses are touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. Others include an additional four senses to the list, which include the sense of temperature, pain, balance, and body position. A tarantula would use all of these.
A list of things we plan to do is called a To-do list.
We have 7 senses. Sight Hearing Smell Taste Touch The other two are the VESTIBULAR and the KINESTHETIC The Kinesthetic sense lets us know what position our body is in. For instance, if you were in a dark room and held up five fingers, without seeing them, you would know you are holding up five fingers. The Vestibular sense lets us know what direction we are facing (upside down or right-side up). For instance, if you are hanging upside down, your body knows that by the vestibular fluids running up to your head (the sensation of "blood rushing to your head").
