16 bit has 16 bits of memory and 8 bit have 8 bit of memory these are words of broadside transfers . Assume the main clock as fix timing just by transmitting 16 bits Vs 8 bits we have double the information available to the CPU.

It's simple.

Other than that, only disadvantages, compared to 16,32 and 64 bit.

Explain the meaning of the sentence 8086 is a 16- bit computer?

The 8086 is called a 16-bit computer because its internal architecture is 16-bits. There are 8-bit operations, but the basic word size is 16-bits.

Which type of architecture 8085 has?

8 bit

What are the advantages of 16 bit microprocessor over 8 bit microprocessor?

The biggest and most beneficial thing is the processor speed increase between the two units. The more speed one can obtain the better computer power can be drawn from the computer that uses it.

Which expansion slot type started as an 8 bit architecture and expanded to 16 bits?

The ISA slot started as 8-bit, and then evolved to 16-bits.

Is the Commodore 64 a 16-Bit Machine or a 8-bit machine?

The Commodore 64 computer used 8-bit MOS Technology.

How many bytes of date can be addressed by a computer system with an 11-bit address bus and an 8-bit data bus?

There can be one byte of data transferred at one time on the 8-bit data bus, but without knowing more about the architecture and the address and data bus multiplexing we cannot know how many bytes can be addressed.Perhaps the machine architecture uses 2 address bus cycles to send out a 16-bit address and 6-bits of control signals, then uses 2 data bus cycles to read or write the 16-bit word at that address, which would mean this computer system addressed two bytes at one time.Perhaps the machine architecture uses 3 address bus cycles to send out a 32-bit address and a 1-bit control signal, then uses 4 data bus cycles to read or write the 32-bit word at that address, which would mean this computer system addressed four bytes at one time.Perhaps the machine architecture uses 6 address bus cycles to send out a 64-bit address and 2-bits of control signals, then uses 8 data bus cycles to read or write the 64-bit word at that address, which would mean this computer system addressed eight bytes at one time.Perhaps the machine architecture has a variable word length (which could be specified in many different ways depending on the architecture), in which case almost any number of bytes could be addressed at one time (with different numbers of bytes in each addressing operation). There are many other possibilities.

Why would it be difficult to use old software in a new computer?

Depends on the software, it is not really to software that is a problem now, it is the hardware. Most machines now run what is called a 32 or 64 bit architecture. DOS and older programs use with 8 bit or 16 bit so they are not able to run backwards compatible. You can install virtual machines that mimic the lower bit architecture then you can run those programs in a virtual shell. Oracle VM Box is a free program that you can use to do this.
