Fluorite is unable to scratch feldspar, quartz, corundum, diamond, or any other mineral with a Mohs hardness greater than 4.
Yes "feldspar" is one of the minerals on Moh's scale of hardness.
Yes. Corundum will scratch topaz and every other mineral with a hardness of 9 or lower on the Mohs hardness scale.
Diamond is the hardest mineral and is the only one that can scratch corundum. but in my opinion corundum will scratch corundum any mineral of the same hardness will scratch the other !
According to the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, quartz (7) will not scratch any mineral with a higher number on the scale. Corundum is listed at 9. Therefore quartz will not scratch corundum, but corundum can scratch quartz.
A ruby is a form of the mineral corundum. The Mohs hardness scale lists the following from softer to harder: Talc - 1 Gypsum - 2 Calcite - 3 Fluorite - 4 Apatite - 5 Feldspar - 6 Quartz - 7 Topaz - 8 Corundum (which includes the ruby) - 9 Diamond - 10 Ruby has a Mohs hardness of 9.

There are many minerals with hardness above 5.5 but the standard ones are feldspar, quartz, topaz, corundum and diamond.
Chalcedony and corundum can both appear in white forms and have a Mohs hardness greater than most feldspars.

Ruby, a variety of the mineral corundum, has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.
# Talk # Gypsum # Calcite # Fluorite # Apatite # Feldspar # Quartz # Tourmaline # Corundum # Diamond This is Mohs scale of hardness with diamond being the hardest. Therefore minerals 6-10 will scratch a glass of hardness 5.5
feldspar, quartz, topaz, corundum, diamond.... Diamond will diffidently scratch glass its also made to cut glass if you get tech with it. (alyssamc6)

Minerals that will scratch apatite must be more than a 5 on the Moh's hardness scale. So feldspar, quartz, topaz, corundum, and diamond will scratch apatite.
