Which engine????????????
Yes
what about it?
To replace the heater core on a 1979 Z28 Camaro, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable and draining the coolant from the radiator. Remove the dashboard and the heater assembly by taking off the necessary trim and screws. Disconnect the heater hoses from the core, remove the old heater core, and install the new one in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure. Finally, reassemble the dashboard, refill the coolant, and check for leaks.

YES. If you look at the passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter you will see a small plug that is screwed into the side of the block. That is a coolant drain plug so you can get all the coolant out of the block. Remove it and screw the knock sensor in it's place.
