The population of predators are dependent on the population of preys
The decline of any population will perturb the ecological balance. If the number of one particular species declines, then any species that preys on it will lose some of its food supply and so its population may decline as well. A species in parasitic or symbiotic relationship is also likely to decline. On the other hand, any species which lives in competition - for food or other resources - would face less competition and so its numbers are likely to increase.
Typicaly the species will plateau and the population will reduce as competition for increasingly scarce resources increases. This can (but will not always) lead to extinction in extreme situations, but the most likely outcome is a much lower population and the resulting evolutionary bottleneck.

preys are deer, elk. Pradetors are leopards, cheetahs. I hope this helps because I don't want you to suffer from not finding the answer to this question like me because I am doing a project on the Tropical Rain forest biome and I am suffering and this project is a 100 point project So it is really important to me and if you can help me on thj
A change in the prey population effects the predator population because if there are alot of preys, then the predators would eat the preys and the population of predators would increase. But on the other hand, if there are not enough preys, the predators would starve and die which would decrease the population of predators.
The population of predators are dependent on the population of preys
If an animal has become extinct the animals preys population would grow this would cause the preys prey to become endangered or extinct. The animals predator would not have as much to eat.
preys
The arapaima preys on electric eels, but more likely the dead ones.
crabs preys are lobsters
A snake preys on a heron.
Competitions for species impacts because it affects the whole food chain and webs which could be because its competitors are fighting for the same food as it is therefor lowers the others population. They lower their preys population as there is more preditors which would mean the preys food would increase.
A polar bear preys on arctic foxes A polar bear preys on arctic foxes
preys
depends... sometimes they're predators sometimes they're preys but mostly they're preys
As you know, balance is extremely important in nature. Climate change may only directly impact one species, but as a result, many others will feel the pain or gain based on the other animal specie's situation. For example, if the dolphin population were to decrease, tyeir preys' population would overdominate, eliminating the balance crucial to survival in the wilderness.
