It is a 31mm.. you can get a socket up to a 3/4" drive in 31mm. However.. if u need some serious power to remove the hard to get off ones.. you can only get 32mm socket for a 1" drive impact. This will work as well. It might round the edges a bit but.. you have to replace the nut everytime you remove one from the axle...
The front axle did not have limited slip from the factory.

The hubs are not engaged. They need to be in order for the axle to be able to turn the front wheels.
I do believe the nut is 1 1/4 unless it's a mm size.

The 2001 Forrester front drive axle nut torque specification is 90 pounds. The front drive axle nut should be torqued in 45 pound intervals.

How to remove the right side axle half on a 1995 f150
It is in front of the fuel tank, near the rear axle. Near the front of the Gas Tank
the 1995 XE has four shocks. Two on the rear axle, and one for each independent in the front.
Have your actuator on the front right axle tube checked
