This is an example of a literary device called a simile, which compares two things using "as" or "like" to create a vivid image for the reader. In this specific quote, it is comparing how love moves toward love to how schoolboys run away from their books, suggesting that love is a natural and irresistible force.

Love goes toward love as schoolboys from their books but love from love?

What the hell are you talking about? OH >>>SOOOO SORRY (VERY SARCASTIC)<<< I DIDNT "MEAN" TO SWEAR. It's a quote from Romeo And Juliet. It means that when one goes toward their loved one the run toward them like schoolboys run away from their books. and when one leaves their loved its like a school boy who reluctantly goes to school.

In which shakespeare play does 'creep unwillingly to school' appear?

Jacques in As You Like It mentions awhining schoolboy with his satchelAnd shining morning face, creeping like snailUnwillingly to school.but there is also a reference to how much children hate going to school in Romeo and Juliet.Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books,But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.(II.ii)Shakespeare seems not much to have enjoyed his schooldays.

What does the quote mean love goes toward love as school boys from their books but love from love toward school with heavy looks?

It simply means this: When you love someone you go to them as eagerly as a schoolboy leaves his schoolbooks (you cannot wait to be with him/her). You leave them as reluctantly as a schoolboy goes to school (you dread leaving him/her). Well I fair to think there is more than but a simple meaning to this quote for after all words of such choice are of such meaning. I believe the first part of the phrase "love goes toward love as school boys from their books..." speaks not towards what it means to love someone and how a school boy and his school books can draw a descriptive analogy. Instead it states "love goes toward love" meaning the interaction is a random and chance circumstance even unexpected and without a seeking interest. Much in the same manner a school boy might have a similar interaction with their school books which is part of the meaning in the "... as school boys from their books..." section. Of coarse it is not till the rest of the phrase is explored that the complete understanding of "...as school boys from their books..." becomes fully appreciated. So lets examine the second part of the phrase "...but love from love toward school with heavy looks." This is quite a complete contrast with the first half for "...love from love..." shows us there is a conscious awareness of each love and the other being that it is from the other love. So when love has discovered its' companion and it is no longer a random, chance, circumstantial, or even unexpected interaction we find a contrasting effect. For now the school boy not even conscious of himself, hence the use of "... toward school..." instead of "...toward school the school boy goes...", finds himself going toward school with certain purpose which is very unlike school boys from their books. Now with intent reason he is looking and searching aggressively "...heavy" for that love. To put it simply is quite a conundrum but I would say: Once you realize you are in love, desire is the present, in the lack thereof. The meaning to this Shakespeare quote is quite simplistic. "Love goes toward love as school boys from their books" means that lovers quickly draw to each other as fast as a child would run from his studies. The second part "but love from love toward school with heavy looks." is just as easily explained. Heavy looks are gazes of stern dislike, in this statement "love from love" is referring to the stubbornness of those in love to part from each other. The quote isn't meant to be seen as a direct analogy.
