What makes a perfect poster is up to each individual. A poster should have a theme and a point to it. A poster should also include pictures.

If you are making a poster to raise awareness about saving tigers, you should use vivid imagery and include facts about tigers, including the status of their population and why saving them is so important.
In my opinion it depends on the character of the one who'll be designing the poster. But personally I appreciate poster that has a design base on animals and important or iconic personalities.

I would include a picture of the dog (if available). You should list a brief, yet detailed description of the dog. State the dog's name as well. You also want to include a way that anyone with information about the dog can contact you. And you should put "LOST" in big, bold letters somewhere on the poster to attract attention.
