DETAILS:.......
First off, I adopted my guinea pig Bubba when hem A was a year old. He was a lone when I got him and I am not sure how long it had been since he'd had social contact with another guinea pig. I had him for about a year, so he is two now, when I decided to get him a buddy. I got him a 6 month old male named Mocha. At first they did alot of mounting which is normal, and it was established that Bubba is the dominant piggy. But now on third day Bubba is still vibrating and rumble-strutting(if that's what its called) and sometimes chattering teeth during floor time. I've seen him groom Mocha and when I hold them together they both squeak happily. I'm just afraid Bubba is not going to accept the new-comer because he won't play with him during floor time which is the main reason I got him a buddy in the first place.
How long does it usually take for a pig to get used to another?
Will Bubba and Mocha bond and play together or is Mocha just going to be an annoyance to Bubba?
I really appreciate any help you can give me!
