"Mammy Two Shoes"
The shoes traditionally known as Mary Janes are named as such because of how they were originally marketed. In 1904, Richard Felton Outcault licensed his cartoon character "Mary Jane" from the comic "Buster Brown" to the "Brown Shoe Company". The character wore the shoes and rose to popularity because of the St. Louis World's Fair. Thus, the shoes came to be named after Mary Jane herself, because people associated the brand of shoes with the cartoon character.

There is such a brand called Road Runner sports and they carry athletic shoes of all sorts and sizes. Finding running shoes with the cartoon character The RoadRunner would probably be a long shot but may be more easily found in childrens' sizes.
