An "unknown reality" usually is a self stultifying statement. Before we begin we need to do a short lesson on language and meaning. Words can mean several things. For example, a bat can be an animal, or the inanimate object used in Baseball. The point here is that words can hold several meanings, and unless their meaning is clear by their context, then your antenna should go up. Usually, however, terms like this have been used by liberal scholars like Paul Tillich, and various reformed seminaries. To translate the statement into an English meaning " unknown reality" would mean reality that can not be known by humans. So right away you see the problem, how can a human author tell me about something he's not supposed to know anything about. It would be like saying that to "preserve myself, I must murder myself." Statements like these are stupid, and should be disregarded by anyone who sees or hears them. The only way a human could know that there were another "level" to reality that they could know nothing more than the statement " you can know nothing about this higher level of reality" would be if an alien, or angel, or being not bound to our human perceptions told them.
