Because everyone in the society is judging a book by it's cover. Everyone goes against Robinson just because he is a black man. Everyone considers Boo Radley a freak just because they truly do not know him. So, the conflict is when they struggle to fit into their community.
In "To Kill a Mockingbird," the main conflict of man vs. society is portrayed through Atticus Finch's defense of Tom Robinson, an African American man wrongly accused of assaulting a white woman in a racially divided town. Atticus chooses to stand up against the societal prejudices and injustices of Maycomb to defend Tom, knowing it will bring him into conflict with the deeply ingrained racism of the community. Through Atticus's unwavering moral stance and willingness to challenge societal norms, the novel explores themes of justice, empathy, and the struggle against systemic racism.
The main conflict in the story is not person vs. person, but it is person vs. society.
The person vs. society conflicts involve Boo, and Tom.
Everybody in society looks down on Boo because he is not social like every other person in Maycomb, and everybody thinks Bob should win the trial because he is white.
Scout Man Vs Self
One conflict with herself could be when Atticus tells Jem & Scout just before taking on the Tom Robinson court case, that they will hear some 'ugly' things about him from people & that he wants them to hold their head high & ignore the remarks ~ Scout's general behavior is to normally try & fight kids at school if they have differing opinions to her & she has to learn to swallow her pride in this instance & try her best to obey what Atticus has asked of them.
it would be Tom Robinson. because he is already found guily just because of the color of his skin.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Boo Radley vs. society, and Tom Robinson vs. society are two prime examples. Everybody dislikes Boo because he does not conform to the town standards, and everybody thinks Tom should lose the trial because he's black.
There is more than one conflict in The Hobbit. The conflict with society would be with the river elves or Bilbo interactions with the dwarves as a group. But there is man vs man, man vs society, man vs enviroment
