mountains are made when the crust folds, tilts ,and lifts as a result of this meeting of plates.
Mountains are the result of the collision of tectonic plates.
Movement of the plates.

because of the plates
fold mountains
Mountains that form as tectonic plates rub past each other are called transform mountains. These mountains often result from the horizontal movement of the Earth's crust along fault lines, leading to deformation and uplift in certain areas. An example of this type of boundary is the San Andreas Fault in California. The geological processes involved can create rugged terrain and unique landscapes.
Non-volcanic mountains are caused when continental plates converge.
The plates are pushing against eachother.
Worldwide, the mountains are the evidence of crustal plates.
Residual mountains are formed by the plates in the earth moving
Fold mountains are formed from the collision of continental tectonic plates. Since neither plate subducts under the other, the colliding plates wrinkle and fold like a rug being pushed into a wall.COMPRESSION A+by ARELY
