Older ovens have manual locks, which consist of a lever at the top front of the door. Switching the lever to one side locks the oven and the other side unlocks it. This helps prevent a child from accidentally opening the oven while hot. Newer ovens may have electro-mechanical locks which are operated via the digital control panel, and may not have any external switch; since this is a seldom-used feature, usually there won't be a dedicated control button to lock/unlock the oven, but only perhaps a tiny padlock symbol as a hint.
There is usually a specific key combination that activates and deactivates the lock. This will vary by model and brand, unfortunately, so there is no simple answer. Usually, you have to know the key combination to lock it (usually two keys pressed at once, such as the light switch and the timer switch), and thus you will know the key combination to unlock it. Try a few of the more inocuous accessory keys (that don't turn the oven on or off), and listen for the motor or solenoid that operates the lock.
Problems generally only arise during cleaning cycles on self-cleaning electronic ovens. When a self-cleaning cycle is started, the ovens will automatically lock for safety (during cleaning cycles, the ovens will max out their highest temperature capability, perhaps 550 degrees or higher). They will not unlock until the temperature has dropped to a safe temperature. If this is the case, simply wait until the oven has cooled down. This can be inconvenient if a cleaning cycle was accidentally started when the oven was needed, but such is life.
Most likely, the power supply to the oven was interrupted during a cleaning cycle, due to a blown fuse (or tripped circuit breaker) or power outage, and so the oven is stuck in the locked position. A quick fix would be to run a short self-cleaning cycle, after which the oven will automatically unlock itself.
But, the best idea would be to consult the user manual, or find an online user's manual through the retailer or manufacturer's website, by searching for the stove's model number. If the proper procedure doesn't work, then the solenoid or motor that operates the locking mechanism may be faulty, in which case, professional service may be required.
As a last resort before paying for an expensive service call, examine the trim panel near the front center of the stove, or carefully remove it -- you'll likely find a manual release button. But, for safety's sake, please don't defeat this safety mechanism -- proper repair is in order.
Strictly a guess. On the controls, is there a button marked Lock. Push it again one time. Look on the top edge of the oven door for possible instructions.

No
Majority of the Maytag double oven (gas) should fit into a space built for a regular standard oven (gas) except for one or two larger size Maytag double oven(gas).
un- unlock
The Maytag CWG3600A Gas Double Oven would be good.

I have had both an 'electronic' electric oven, and a 'manual' electric oven, with the cleaning feature. Both ovens lock the oven door shut when that feature was activated, and the locking mechanism did not unlock until it was safe to open the door once again.
Lock = Bloqué Unlock = Débloqué
I think it all depends on what's wrong with the touchpad controller and what the authorized servicer says about your Maytag single electric oven situation.
