Mcafee is by far the most space consuming piece of crap you could have on your computer it is not worth the price remove it and get kaspersky internet security 2009 and yes Mcafee slows down your computer

I play combat arms and i absolutely love it, i decided it would be a good idea to have some sort of Security on my Laptop to preserve the decent speed of my Laptop. I decided to get Mcafee Antivirus 2010, BAD IDEA! Mcafee is such a big file that every time i tried to play the game it lagged terribly, I restarted my laptop and uninstalled a countless number of files hoping that my game would return to its normalcy when i finally decided to uninstall Mcafee, my game was running better than ever. I decided that the price of Mcafee wasnt worth the price of the bad gaming experience..
MCAFEE STINKS. And that's all there is to it. NEVER USE MCAFEE!!! >:(

Don't use McAfee, use another anti virus program. It may be compatible, but you only need one and McAfee likes to install itself as an add on with other downloads and then attracts adware etc and constantly runs in background. McAfee and Norton are 2 you should never use. Whatever you do use set it on manual, then do it yourself once a week and as necessary so you control when it runs. Since these programs can slow a computer or conflict w/windows programs just use one reputable one
