You can cancel RuneScape membership easily.

1) On the RS homepage, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Profile & Settings". You will be prompted to login.

2) This will take you to the account settings page. On the right side of the screen is your members' status. Click "Extend Membership". This takes you to the billing section of the site where you need to be in order to cancel membership.

3) Once on the billing page, at the top, click "Billing Home".

You will see a message that reads:

Below is your current billing status. If you'd like to buy more of our products, of to extend any of your membership, please click here.

Click the link (here in blue) to be taken to your subscription agreements page. Finally, cancel the agreement for your RuneScape subscription and confirm cancellation with whatever reason you'd like. Any active paid subscription will not be refunded, but once it runs out the account will return to non-members / free player status.
