Provide rehabilitation to people with a mental health illness/disorder. This may involve providing information following assessment (to other professionals, clients/carers) that will provide recommendations as to whether they are capable to live in the community without/with assistance, whether they may need more supported accomodation and assessment of further rehab needs (with respect to vocational rehabilitation, independent living skills, social skills etc.)

A person with a mental illness can often experience significant functional deficits and an OT works with these people and their environment to overcome barriers in order to allow them to function more independently and achieve life goals.
