The U.S. Navy's Alvin (DSV-2) is not a mini-submarine; it is a submersible.
The technical difference between submarines and submersibles is that submersibles like Alvin require support vessels (surface or submarines) to transport them to their site of operations, launch / recover them, and replenish power, water, air, etc. after each use. They are also limited in space and air supply, which curtails their submerged operational time. These multiple factors are whey they are limited in their operational scope.
Submarines are self-supporting units; while they may require support for repair and replenishment of crew needs (e.g., food), they do not require the type of support that submersibles do.
They're limited in use because they require support vessels (e.g., Tenders) to operate, and also have a short submerged operational period due to their energy and supply replenishment needs.
a hat.
because it is a basic gas and cannot be reproduced.therefore we have a limited amount.
They use a computer.
The U.S. Navy's Deep Submergence Vehicle ALVIN(DSV-2), like all DSV's, are limited because they require a support vessel from which to be transported, launched and recovered. Though the can freely submerge to deeper depths than most submarines, their size (which gives them the capability of deep submergence) also limits the time they can spend at depth. It doesn't mean they're worthless; ALVIN's expeditions have yielded invaluable scientific data on life and the environment at extreme depths and pressures, and when lost (while being transported), yielded clues to bacterial decay in extreme environments when it was recovered essentially intact. Sandwiches that were on board at the time were found to be soggy but edible, and had no trace of decay that would normally be expected. ALVIN was on the bottom at 5,000 feet for almost a year before she was finally recovered.

Because we are wasting it. There is only a limited supply of fresh water we can use. :(
Because of age and eternal issues, people are limited to what products they can use, otherwise because of age, or what the product may contain.
