Mossberg makes an 18.5" personal defense/home defense/slug barrel for the 500 .410. The cost is approx $75 delivered via fedex. You should contact Mossberg directly to place the order. It's cheaper than Brownell's, Midway USA, Bass Pro Shops, etc. They get them from Mossberg to sell to you at a higher price.
A NOTE OF CAUTION: Mossberg does NOT, repeat NOT recommend using slugs through the standard full-choke barrel. Using slugs in this barrel could bulge or burst the barrel.
yes
i have a 12 gauge unrifled barrel 500 model.what type of slug do you reccomend for the mossberg
Yes, the Mossberg?æ500 20 gauge ammunition can be used in the Mossberg .410 model. To find out if ammunition will fit, the Mossberg company stamps the size needed on the side of the barrel.
This should be a Mossberg 500 in a Montgomery Wards suit. Check any dealer for the availability of a slug barrel.
They are the same. Mossberg 500 series includes all shotguns. 500A is 12gauge. 500E is 410.
A Mossberg 410, home defense, or a 18 inch barrel 20 gauge Mossberg 500 youth model with accu choke . Between $250.00, and $350.00
Yes, you can....but the chamber on the 500 barrel is only bored for 3" max shells. You won't be able to fire 3.5" shells through the 500 barrel.
no
Yes. The Mossberg 500 in 410 bore is called 500D (the 500D was actually the designation for the 28 gauge Model 500 that was never built....a Model 500 in .410 caliber is a 500E)A-12GAB-16GAC-20GAD-28GA (never made)E-.410 caliber.Try to use a complete sentence next time.
If you have a 500, and it is a 12 gauge, it is a 500A. The "A" designates it as a 12ga. A 500B is a 16ga, a C is a 20ga, and an E is a .410.

Each firearm will exhibit a preference for a certain load and or maker. The only way to know is to shoot as many as you can afford to find out.
