On active duty: USS Kitty Hawk, USS Enterprise, USS Nimitz, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Carl Vinson, USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS Abraham Lincoln, USS George Washington, USS John C. Stennis, USS Harry S. Truman, and USS Ronald Reagan. Kitty Hawk and Enterprise are no longer in commission. Kitty Hawk was decommissioned in 2009 and Enterprise in 2013. USS George H.W. Bush was commissioned in 2009, giving the USN a total of 10 active carriers.

There was a USS Minneapolis. It was built in the 1930's and was active during WWII. It was decomissioned in 1947, but has since been scrapped. the original USS Minneapolis was built in the 1890's and decomissioned in 1921. The ship mentioned above was the second USS Minneapolis.

The USS Constitution was commissioned in 1797 and is still in active service and the HMS Victory was commissioned in 1778 by the Royal Navy and is in active service. These are kept active for sentimental reasons, but they are in active service in both Navies
The USS Arizona, USS California, USS Oaklahoma( these are the battleships) and the USS Oriskany aircraft carrier. The are the World's famous warships ever built but not around anymore.
