She freaked out because her best friend is in love with her daughter and they most likely will get physically involved later on in in the baby's life and, she was most probably jealous that he loved her and got to show that to renesmee before she did, as Jacob was with renesmee from the moment he saw her whereas Bella was obviously delayed in seeing her. Bella knows that Jacob can't do anything about imprinting - it's not his choise, but she is freaked out by the fact that Renesmee is just a baby - she's just protecting her child like any other mother would, not that she doesn't like Jacob.
