My 2001 Chevy cavalier's check engine light is on and code p0128 came up then i changed the thermostat but the check engine light is still on now what?

the check engine light has to be cleared with the scanner, that wipes out the codes and resets. Answered by Littlestown Lube & Brake Littlestown, PA 717-359-5022 light will still be on. Black tape on dash light, best solution i can find.
