Young Dr- Kildare - 1972 Mercy Killing was released on: USA: 1972
I had a community cage set up. Very large cage but only 4 finches 2 male 2 female. I decided to put in a nesting box and let one of the pair breed in the community environment. One male was very young and the other much older. As I figured the older male started courting one female but he also started to attack te other young male(still has baby spots) and he ripped all the baby birds feathers off his head and face. So to answer the question yes they will fight. One will become aggressive and the other males should be removed. Adding a second male may prompt the pair to start courting and accept each other but then remove the second male before damage is done. My birds lived peacefully until the one pair had bonded then the damage was done very quickly.

No, I would not choose to follow the young lover's actions in the poem. Killing another person, even out of love, is never justified. Love should be expressed through kindness, understanding, and respect, rather than through violence.
