I have the same problem. Iwas told this by Capcom:

Have you tried your game on another Nintendo DS to verify the issue? If the game functions properly on

another system then there may be an issue with your DS. If the game has the same problem you will need to

have it exchanged. You can either take it back to the retailer or you can send the game back to us,

generally taking it back to the retailer is faster and more convenient.
