You have a compression loss probably resulting from worn rings. An enging rebuild should fix this problem. first check that the pcv valves are operating correctly as this could be the problem..
Hard starting, loss of power, excess fuel consumption, check engine light, and a blowing sound under heavy acceleration.
760 kg.
Check your fuel filter before spending money on other troubleshooting procedures. Had the same problem, it would idle fine but about 4000 rpm or heavy exceleration it would start to jerk. so i replaced my cam sensor. Fuel constriction, ignition parts corroded, wet spark plugs. I had this problem caused by a corroded connection on the high-voltage side of the ignition coil. Carburetors could have a failing acceleration pump.
you would experience a pinging "metalic noise" under heavy or rush acceleration, would also have lost of power. this problem will not turn the check engine light.
yes no problem but drive gently for the first few hundred miles avoid heavy acceleration look in the owner s hanbook they explain this
A cylinder misfire has been detected ( you need to have the Explorer scanned for any trouble code (s) to help diagnose and then repair the problem ) Avoid any heavy acceleration or decelleration until the problem is repaired
Your cam driven fuel pump is unable to keep up with the sudden demand of fuel necessary under heavy acceleration.I would get that pump replaced, if you have any aftermarket engine parts you should consider an up graded fuel pump.Do not overlook this problem, doing so could cause your engine to blow
yes with heavy modification
Yes, that is correct.
If an engine runs well otherwise but stalls on heavy acceleration, the problem is typically fuel related. Check the fuel pressure, both at an idle and when you accelerate. You'll need a fuel pressure gauge that offers the ability to monitor the pressure from inside the cabin. If it IS fuel related, the problem could be either the fuel pump, fuel filter or the fuel pressure regulator.
An engine misfire has been detected ( drive in a moderate fashion - no heavy acceleration / decelleration ) and have the problem repaired as soon as possible to avoid damaging the catalytic converter
