The game is either faulty or your DS has stuffed up.
All my advice is, bring it back to the shop if you can, or buy a new DS! You should try to see whether its the DS or Game so your not wasting money.

welll, it's pretty obvious: a diamond code is for diamond and a platinum code is for platinum. Like the other guy said, they wont work for each other if you try a diamond code with a platinum game its not going to work same way the other way around. you could have the same thing you wanted to get for platinum and diamond but the codes will be different. hope that helped. =)

It just might be that it doesn't work. Or try, if you have, another Pokemon game pearl diamond or platinum then trade your Pokemon there. now restart your game, then trade them back
